Hawai’i Fishing Fanatic “Fish Finds” Sunday
Fish Finds

I came across these finds over the past few days and hope Hawai’i fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the following:
I’ve often touted the flyfishing aspect of fishing for Hawaiian pelagic species and how beautiful the fish are in photos with all their colors. Well, a magazine that centers on the photographic aspect of flyfishing is now online. I wasn’t sure Catch Magazine would “catch” on but apparently they have enjoyed great success over the year with a few issues. Please check out the beautiful photos from all over the world, including some from Hawai’i.
Check out the future of the ever evolving lure business to entice fish to bite. Now that’s always a goal for any fishermen! These new lure types might be a big hit in the islands as well.
Oh! Boy! Do I love gadgets and this one especially as it helps me change my flyline from one reel to the other without the time-consumption. If you’re like me and resourceful (meaning I only can afford a couple of fly reels), you’ll love this gadget to change your lines from freshwater to saltwater lines very easily. Check out, Flyfishing in Saltwaters article, Wind Your Line.
Labor Day Weekend Time Off
E kala mai to all Hawaii Fishing Fanatic Blog Fans. I took some time off this weekend to spend time with family and friends since returning to isles. Went fishing with friends off Hickam pier. “Small kine,” menpachi and ‘aweoweo action! But there are big fish hitting the bait fish too!
I’ll be back on the “post wagon” this week and I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend.
Mahalo!
